What to expect during and after your registration
Your registration is not complete until your phone number is verified. Follow the steps below to make sure you receive every alert from the Town of North River.
Completing Your Registration

After you press Complete Registration, we send you a 6-digit code by text message, or by an automated phone call if you chose Voice Call Alerts. Type the code into the box on this page and press Verify & Complete. Keep this page open until you see Registration Complete!

2. Use Your Code Within 5 Minutes
Codes expire after 5 minutes. If your code does not arrive or has expired, please contact the Town Office at 709.786.6216 and staff can complete your registration. Registrations that are not verified are removed automatically after 24 hours.

3. Watch for Your Welcome Message
Once verified, you will receive a welcome text (or a short confirmation call for voice alerts). If you added a Guardian, they will also receive a text letting them know.

4. Save Our Alert Number
All text and voice alerts come from (709) 703-5015. Save it in your contacts as “North River Alerts” so you recognize our alerts right away and your phone does not treat them as spam.

5. Confirm Your Email (If You Added One)
We send a verification email from alerts@intelalert.ca. Click the link in that email to turn on email alerts. Email alerts are not sent until you click the link. Don’t see it? Check your Junk or Spam folder.

6. Bookmark the Official Alert Page
Visit intelalert.ca/northriver any time to see if an emergency is active, read full alert details and view the alert map. Android: tap the red Install Intel Alert bar at the bottom of the alert page. iPhone / iPad: in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
